ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. Lent represents Christ’s time of temptation in the wilderness and is a season to spend time in repentance and reflection. It is an intentional season of focus on Christ’s life, ministry, sacrifice, and resurrection. During Ash Wednesday services (12 noon with choir and organ music and 6:00 pm contemporary with simple soup supper on February 26), all will be invited to receive the ashes on their foreheads. The ashes symbolize death and repentance. Join us as we enter into the Lenten season solemnly, while also looking forward in greater anticipation and joy of the message of Easter and Christ’s ultimate victory over sin and death.
