Sustaining Our Growing
Church Family St. John's is experiencing an exciting season of growth and renewal. As program participation and Sunday worship have grown, so too has the budget to sustain this heightened demand. This growth is so significant, it is now outpacing our current budget. Over the next two years, St. John's needs to raise $1.3m to maintain the current level of programming for our church. This represents a modest, but necessary increase over our current annual income. |
Forming the Next Generation
In recent years, the children’s and family ministries cultivated by St. John’s have grown our congregation to nurture the faith of 130+ young people — above and beyond our fully enrolled preschool and summer camp attendance. Over the next four years, 31 children whose families regularly attend Sunday worship will age into their teens. There is a pressing need to develop strong faith formation programs for these older children, teens, and their families as they enter these formative years of life. A new clergy position and significantly enhanced program budgets are mission-critical to provide the attention, support, and impact these students and families need from their church. Over the next two years, St. John’s needs to raise $300,000 to fund program expansion and clergy and staff positions specifically tasked with forging “next generation ministries,” which will add critical leadership capacity and enhance the overall life of our congregation. |
Enhancing Our Worship
St. John’s is a worshiping church. One of our church’s most distinctive features is its faithful embrace of timeless Gospel truths, embodied in ancient liturgy and tradition and translated into our modern context. We seek to raise $400,000 to begin renewing our physical campus, with an initial emphasis on our sanctuary. This includes long-overdue upgrades and repairs to dated technology, audio systems, the organ, lighting and seating, and addressing some maintenance needs throughout our facility, such as ductwork and water damage repairs. |
