Our service is an opportunity to worship God, love our body, and participate in the transformation of this great city in which we live: "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms."

Here are some of the many opportunities to serve at St. John's!
Acolyte - Serving at the Lord's altar at Sunday morning worship services
Altar Guild - teams rotate and serve every 5 weeks Baby Welcome Wagon - meals for parents with a newborn Baptism - assist family the day of service, order and assemble keepsake banners Bereavement Committee - assist with refreshments at gatherings following funerals Children's Ministry - Sunday mornings Community Garden Eucharistic Ministers - Sunday worship services, funerals, other special services Eucharistic Visitors - Take communion to assisted care facilities Fellowship - setup, preparations and planning for special events Finance Committee Flower Guild - arrange flowers for the altar - serving approximately monthly Funeral Liaison - assist family and greet those attending the service Good Shepherd Center- preparing and serving meals Greeting Card Ministry - sending electronic, and sometimes paper, cards for birthdays, etc. Intercessors - Pray at the side altar with those that come forward Ladies Lunch Bunch - lunches at local restaurants Laptop operator - Sunday mornings Life Groups - Small group gatherings throughout the week Nursery Volunteers - Sunday mornings and special events Greeters Office Volunteers - Monday-Friday 10am - 1pm Prayer Chain - a group ready to offer immediate and ongoing prayers Prayer Group - meets Tuesday mornings at St. John's Prayer Shawl - gatherings in homes while making shawls ROMEOS - Men's lunch at local restaurants ServTeam - Sunday morning and special event welcome ministry Sound System operator - Sunday mornings and special events Unseen Guest - prepare and package meals for the hungry Vestry Videographer Visitation - visiting in hospitals, homes, Hospice and other facilities Women of St. John's - meetings and special events Youth - Sunday evenings during the school year for special events |
