About
As an integral part of the ministry of St. John’s Episcopal Church, our preschool opened its doors in the fall of 2004. Our curriculum approach recognizes that children learn about their world primarily through exploration and play. During this time, children gain opportunities to solve problems, understand concepts, enhance communication abilities, develop relationships, practice motor skills, and gain self-understanding and self-confidence. Acknowledging that young children have individual interests, learning styles, and developmental schedules, each teacher generates classroom activities that provide a broad range of experiences for the children in the class. Christian education along with content domains (language, math, social studies, science) is integrated within thematic units. |
