Eric Moulton, Rector
Eric serves as the rector at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Wilmington, NC (@sjcilm) and has been ordained since 2014. Prior to the priesthood, Eric was a youth-worker for many years, including serving as the Youth Officer for the Diocese of Central Florida from 2003-2013. He is a graduate of The University of Georgia (BA Religion ‘94), Reformed Theological Seminary (MATS ‘09) and The University of the South’s School of Theology (STM ‘20). Eric and his wife, Serinda, are blessed with seven amazing children. In his spare time, Eric enjoys reading, sports, listening to music and appreciating great graphic design. Rachel McKnight, Administrator
Rachel has been the Administrator at SJC ILM for close to 10 years. She graduated from UNCW with a degree in Marketing and has worked in advertising, banking, and insurance. She and her husband moved to Wilmington in 1996 and have an adult daughter and three mixed-breed dogs. Rachel enjoys reading, walks in nature and is learning to knit.

Christina Garrison, Director, SJC KIDS
Christina has been on staff at SJC ILM for 7 years now. She is a UNCW graduate and also a Special Education TA. Christina is a mother of 2 and enjoys reading, walking and being with family. Christina loves leading children’s ministry and focusing on our Bible-Based Curriculum, Orange! Christina also loves directing our SJC KIDS Camps and VBS annually!

Kari Loeber, Director, SJC YOUTH
Kari has served as the director of SJC YOUTH since 2022 and has attended SJC ILM since 2015. She has a BM in Music Education and an MS in Instructional Technology from UNCW. Before working at SJC ILM, she taught elementary school music and middle school band at public schools in New Hanover County. She and her husband have been married since 2015 and have one toddler son. She enjoys boating with her family, gardening, and cooking!

Beth McLean, Director, SJC Preschool
Beth serves as the director of SJC Preschool. She began teaching at the preschool in 2005 and in 2012 became the preschool director. Prior to working at SJC Preschool, Beth worked as a consultant for a national educational company for five years. She was also a classroom teacher and reading specialist with the public school system for twelve years. Beth received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UNC Wilmington in Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in literacy from UNC Chapel Hill. Beth and her husband are both from Wilmington and have two adult sons. Beth enjoys spending time at the beach, reading, and sewing.

Laura Cavagnaro, Alpha Director
Laura is the volunteer coordinator of Alpha. She graduated from Wake Forest undergraduate and law school. She and her husband, Al, have been members of SJC since 1994. They have a 22-year-old son and 2 miniature dachshunds. Laura likes tennis, bridge, Bible study, travel, and editing her friend’s books.

Jeannie Puhger, Groups Director
Jeannie serves as the volunteer coordinator for groups at SJC ILM. She and her husband Ron retired and moved to Wilmington from California 2 years ago. She has Teaching Credentials from Dominican University and an MA in Counseling from Chapman University. She and Ron enjoy the beach, camping, kayaking, and visiting and playing with their 4 adult kids and grandkids.

Denise Hopper, Director, Worship Arts
Denice been involved in the Worship Arts at SJC ILM for more than 10 years playing the piano and most recently serving as the Worship Arts Coordinator. She has a Bachelors of Music degree in Commercial Piano Performance with an emphasis in Performing Arts from Belmont University, in Nashville, TN. She is active in the community with the Thalian Association, and other local theatre companies, is a licensed Kindermusik Educator. Denise has a daughter, Sommer, who is very involved with SJC Kids. They love the water, shopping and their two cats Bradley and Jax.
